That guy did NOTHING wrong, he was assaulted numerous times.
He was a paragon of restraint.
The guy showed admirable patience and when he responded to the battering he was receiving he did so in a very moderate way ... an open handed slap.
There is no way he should have been arrested. Piss poor judgement by some cop(s).

I'm assuming that the arrests were made at the scene, of course. If that's not the case, then they had no business arresting him.

When the police are called to the scene of a physical altercation it's hard to complain when they arrest everyone and then let the parties weigh the evidence later.
He was in jail for over 48 hours before being release. There's no excuse for that.

Come-up-ence appears in all shapes and sizes. This ringing smackdown may help to educate the girl in the only way she would understand. Some people are going to tolerate your foolishness only so far, and after that, they will not be turning the other cheek. She was banking on this guy just soaking it up. I do think, however, this kid will have to either watch his back for a few months, or find some other transportation from now on, while in that area.
