A fleet of Russian warships are heading towards Australia’s coast just days before the G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia’s defence ministry announced on Wednesday.

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) are monitoring four vessels, including a cruiser, a destroyer, a refuelling ship and one of the world’s most powerful tug boats. The ships are currently believed to be in the Coral Sea near Papua New Guinea, heading towards Australia’s east coast.

The presence of Russian naval ships in the region comes days before the G20 summit this weekend in which leaders from around the world, including Russian president Vladimir Putin, meet to discuss how to respond to the global financial crisis.

Poopin is making a mess everywhere.

Sure wish the Russian people would wake up and dump him.

“Poopin is making a mess everywhere.”

What’s he doing that we don’t do?

.

What’s he (Putin) doing that we don’t do?

Well, for starters, acting like a "man who loves his country" while leading it ...

Hmm, perhaps you can remind me the last time we rolled into Mexico or Canada. Do you know of any territory in in North America we annexed recently?

I was thinking this morning - unusual, I know - about “dots”.

Is it a coincidence that Putin was right next to China’s “top dog”, and Obama was off in the “wives’ club” during the China summit, and Russia has just moved into the Ukraine in a big way?

And, now this move toward Australia?

Almost like kicking sand into the 90b. weakling’s face, isn’t it? Except it isn’t funny that we have come to this level of disrespect, with two more years to go. We are so vulnerable right now!

A flotilla that includes a tug boat? Well, at least they’re being realistic about the state of their navy.
