Nope, too aggressive. Simply reign them in. Force changes to come to Congress for a vote. Reduce their budgets. Limit their enforcement abilities.
You can start by disarming their militia by rescinding their law enforcement authority, which was granted in 1988. Let them approach DOJ for enforcement matters.
