And you are naive and shallow to think these things don’t effect you - you have no ability to live totally outside of and independent from the culture in this country, whether you give a damn about it or not, and whether or not you are too ignorant to understand it.

If you’re counting how many people of what color are in which commercials that’s obsession, and there’s nothing infantile about pointing it out. You have the same obsession as the NAACP, both of you are so busy looking at who’s what color on your TV you it matters. It doesn’t. Any time I’m watching TV and notice how many of what color are on it I know the program sucks and its time to watch something more interesting.
There’s no reason for anybody to count the colors. Those who do are obsessed. Those who get upset having their sad obsession pointed out are sophomoric morons.

I notice plenty of things that don’t effect me. For instance I noticed that race obsession happens to people of every color, and make all of them say stupid things. And they all take it very personally when you ask why it really matters. And they never actually answer the question, they just start calling you names.
I care about the thread, that’s why I clicked on it. I just happen to think that the people complaining on the thread, including the original article writer, are being silly and really need to get over their race/ gender obsessions.

No. Yes. Heard it plenty. Because they’re race obsessed idiots, usually of the liberal guilt kind.
There are people on both sides of the camp that just spend way too much time worrying about race. On the liberal side there’s the “white privilege” crowd, on the conservative side there’s the “we’re under attack” crowd. Then there’s the vast majority of the country who get headaches rolling their eyes at both sides. Really, everybody just needs to get over it. Every single person that thinks race matters, on either side, is the problem.
Ignore it while they eat our lunch? Doesn't sound like a very good plan to me.

We out number then like 6 to 1, and we’re better armed, better fed, and better funded. If we’re under attack we’ll win. And really if sticking black people in commercials is the best they can muster up for an attack we already won.
