I have nothing against Glenn Beck. However, I can not listen to him. He makes me too darn nervous. I have too many problems of my own.

Besides, his web site is full of adds and malware. If I use Internet explorer it is attacked so much it actually shuts down the web browser. If I go to the Blaze I have to use Chrome with full add blocker and it is still a slow loading site with as many as 20 adds blocked per session. That is just abusive to the user and reader.

I agree. When I get done listening to him, (the few times I do), all I want to do is crawl in a basement with a loaded gun and a pallet of canned goods, thinking I should have never brought kids into this world. I’ve lost count at how many civilization collapses he’s predicted to have come...and gone...and we still wait.
I look at Beck and I see that 1980’s mullet, goofy-ass, morning zoo DJ, except now he has a 100 million or so...but he’s the same goofball. He became famous when his show took off on the back of 9/11. In my radio market, following 9/11 they took Dr. Laura off the air because it just seemed too trivial and on came Glenn Beck. Mr. Flag-waving, muslims-suck Beck. He was preaching to a choir hungry for red meat. He was in the right place at the right time.
He may indeed be charitable but it’s easy to be charitable when you’re sitting on millions.
Beck is a classic case of hollywood guilt. Feeling like you have to make the case that you’ve earned that sick amount of wealth. Not through sweat but because you had a tough childhood, were an alcoholic, have chronic illnesses, etc.
He sits on his mountain of $$$ and resources and shakes his finger at us and tells us we must prepare. We must pay off our debt, stop spending foolishly etc. Thank you Glenn. As a hard working man trying to keep a roof over my family’s head...thank you because I was about to buy that 50’ yacht, but now I’ll pay off my visa bill and purchase a 6 month supply of food insurance instead. He tells us we must stop spending money on frivolous things, (as a small business owner, thank you again Mr. Beck)...then he stops to tell us, “this segment brought to you by....”.
I watched that interview. I saw him crying about how hard his illness must have been on his wife. She sat next to him looking on, you could see the discomfort in her DRY eyes. He is a drama queen. What the hell happened to that big announcement awhile back about going blind or something?
For Glenn’s sake, I hope he never loses his fame, because if he does, he’ll crash and burn in a way that makes Robin William’s end story seem tame.
