It would not be wise to scoff at this accomplishment. Iran may be governed by bizarre mullahs but the Iranian people are intelligent and patriotic. They fully realize that their country may soon be attacked by Israel. Israel may not want to attack knowing full well that despite the necessity of preventing the apocalyptic mullahs from obtaining nuclear weapons, Israel may very well suffer a devastating counterattack from the long range missiles based in Iran and the short range missiles Iran has no doubt positioned in Syria. The US should be very concerned about the ship to shore missiles the Iranians have purchased from China and positioned along the narrow shallow Persian Gulf. The big blue water capital ships and their young sailors are very vulnerable. American planners should not underestimate the capabilities of the Iranians that if attacked will respond with a patriotic fervor.
