Sen.-elect Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) pledged on “Fox News Sunday” to be “extremely aggressive” in trying to rollback some regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency.

“Extremely aggressive,” she said when asked how aggressive she would be in the Senate in trying to rollback some of the EPA regulations. “That is my promise to West Virginia. We have lost over the last two years, 5,000 jobs. Those are just coal jobs.

“We had several thousand other miners who are what are called a warn notice, meaning they're potentially going to be losing their jobs. That doesn't even count the transportation job, the electricians, the tire distributors, all the other jobs that go with coal mining,” Capito said. “Coal is our base load fuel.”

A classy lady...I believe she’ll make West Virginia forget the Dems ( Robert Byrd and Jay Rockefeller).

Fighting the EPA over what regulations are appropriate is a loser, even if you win at first. Because they'll just come back and re-institute the regulations the first chance they get.

The correct way to do it, is to cut the EPA back to constitutional powers delegated to the Federal Government. If that is zero, go for it.

I just read that Lamar! will be taking the reins of Education in the Senate. The word education does not show up the US Constitution. Since the Federal Government got involved in education in the mid-60's government schools have just gone down the toilet, into the sewer without ever making it to the waste treatment plant. I just feel so much better that Lamar! will be in charge of education. We'll get to that waste treatment plant with his help. Yup, that's what I believe.
