Suicide Bomber Kills 48 at Nigerian School
CBNNews.com Monday, November 10, 2014
Forty-eight students are dead after a suicide bomber attacked a northern Nigerian high school, but it is not known who is behind the attack.
Officials say the bomber was wearing a school uniform when the explosives were detonated at a morning assembly.
Hospital workers say dozens of students were hurt and will likely need amputations.
Last week a suicide bomber killed 30 people in the same city.
"We suspect Boko Haram is behind the attack," police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu said.
CBN News is working to confirm if if Boko Haram is responsible for the bombing. Attacks on schools by the militant Islamic group are common in northern Nigeria.
This happens so often now that it doesn’t even phase people any longer. It’s hard to believe what the world has come to, all thanks to islam.
My God doesn’t smile down on the killers of innocent people.
In the fog of war, innocents are going to die.
This isn’t the fog of war. The guy woke up on a normal day and decided to kill as many children as he could.
Now, crickets as his fellow Islamic adherents slither back under the baseboard, rather than utter a single peep against this sort of thing.
“Officials say the bomber was wearing a school uniform when the explosives were detonated at a morning assembly.”
perhaps they would have been clearer had they siad they THINK that “the bomber was probably wearing school uniform when the explosives were detonated at a morning assembly.”
if they cant ID em they dont know for ceratin I wouldnt think
We have many Nigerian priests in the Tucson dioceses. They contribute greatly to our understanding of the Gospel; they are learned and inspired men. But, I can’t remember if our bishop has ever asked us to pray for their country. The only time that has happened in some of our smaller parishes, mostly during week days Masses and only when we stand up in the pews during the congregational pleas, for our “Lord, hear our prayer. “
Waiting for Bob Costas to comment.
Is that how Muslims get to Allah?
Killing scores of children?
RIP.
That is the social contract at its most fundamental. The State can confiscate property (ie tax) and in return protect the population. The Nigerian State is failing its most basic obligation (not that I'm surprised government fails). The point here is that there will be a reaction from the people.
