I liked Troi only after Picard got the boot and Capt. Jelico took command for 2 episiodes and made her wear an honest to goodness regulation uniform!
I liked Jelico, he made an honest woman/officer out of Troi and was professional to boot!
Some people hated Jelico for the uniform thing with Troi, I rather liked him, he was a professional, unlike nmost of the rest of the crew! :)
