I agree that this is what the government must do, but the political parties approach Hispanics from two directions.

The Democrats insist that Hispanics behave like blacks, as a monolithic voting block that does not tolerate dissension, aka, the “Democrat Plantation”. Democrats hate the idea of individualism, and only want to treat people as existing in heterogeneous groups. This is how they think of “the Hispanic vote”.

The Republicans need to adopt a message that appeals to a majority of Hispanics as *individuals*, while fully aware that many Hispanics have conservative values, so are not easily distinguished from other conservatives. That is, their major issues are conservative, not Hispanic.

This translates to “giving conservative Hispanics what conservatives want”, while treating them fairly, not patronizing them, in other ways.

I have seen a problem here, in past, of some conservatives who have fallen into that same trap as Democrats, of thinking of Hispanics, Americans and illegals, as a monolithic bloc. But I point out to them a few facts.

1) Some Hispanics want to become citizens, are (very) hard working, pay taxes, join the military, have strong conservative and family values, neither take nor want to take government largess, and try to rapidly integrate into America society as good citizens. Conservatives should embrace them with open arms as not just good, but great for America in many ways.

But there is no effective way for them to become citizens in a reasonable amount of time, while in the US. To have to spend 20 years in another country just to legally immigrate here is intolerable.

At the same time, there are lots of worthless and criminal Hispanics who come here solely to abuse America and Americans. The US should buy a Devil’s Island to deport them to, as they are pests and parasites wherever they live. They do not want citizenship, or integration, or honest employment, and should be given the boot with all due speed. They exclusively vote Democrat.

Let me tell you anther story, the story of every other immigrant from every other part of the world. They cant or rather wont just walk across the line to enjoy the American dream they pacently and respectfully wait their turn and sometimes they do wait 10 years but in doing so they demonstrate not only their commitment but their equality to all others.

It is inexcusably unfair to give someone who has already cut in line a faster or more comfortable path to citizenship because they cut in line than someone who has respectfully waited their turn.

Going back to their home country for 20 years may be an intolerable choice for them but what about the hundreds of millions of other people who wait their turn? They’ve been living the American life flaunting our laws and everyone who was respectfully enough of them to follow them for years if not decades.

Why is it acceptable to give theses people an Additional reward rather than punishment for their behavior? Are theses line cutters the kind of Americans we want people who just ignore the law out of expendency and personal convenience? What kind of country results from that attitude?

Corrupt and nearly lawless mexico seems to come to mind.
