They will not sign up for amnesty unless it is profitable for them to do so. Without amnesty they can work under the table, get medical care for free, and apply for benefits for themselves and their kids. If they sign up for amnesty, they have to be at least partially accountable. Why do that?
How does it profit them if they sign up for amnesty? They won’t be deported if they don’t.
(1) Fund every penny that is budgeted now.....except defund all DHS, ICE, HHS and USCIS' rubber-stamp activities. Defund anything and everything that directly and indirectly deals with amnesty: work permits, green cards for illegals, gravy train federal subsidies, re-situating unaccompanied minors w/ families. Then let Obama defend his amnesty E/O or take the blame for the entire shutdown himself.
(2) As a further warning----no votes on ANY Obama nominees until Jan 20, 2017. No judges, No Attorney General, no sub-cabinet secretaries. NOTHING----thanks to the SCOTUS ruling, Obama could not recess-appoint ANYONE, if the House declares the Congress is always in session.
