Prince Harry: I'll fight Iraq terrorists

PRINCE Harry has vowed to fight Islamic State terrorists head on as an Apache helicopter pilot.

The prince – who flew the deadly choppers in Afghanistan – has volunteered to fight in Iraq if his regiment is sent there.

Harry, who is regarded as one of the Army’s top helicopter pilots, has told pals he wants to get back into the thick of the action.

A source close to the prince said: “Harry told us he will ask to go and fight in Iraq with his regiment if they are deployed.”

Defence chiefs are preparing to send up to eight Apache helicopter gunships to support beleaguered Iraqi forces in the war against Isis.

One colleague said: “Harry is itching to get back into combat.

“He really enjoyed the challenge of Afghanistan and felt that while he was on operations his life had real value.
