Bad on abortion.
Bad on guns.
And more.
Forget it.
Not sure about a run for presidency, but he should definitely have a position in the next Republican admin. He’s darn sure one of the smartest people in the room (if not the smartest).
I, for one, am quite pleased with his decision.
1. He is squeaky clean. No Michelle Bachmann or Herman Cain
2. He is deeply conservative. At a minimum, he will raise the bar for who will challenge him in the primaries.
3. Hate to bring up skin color, but it will provide him with protection from the GOP-e machine.
4. The dems will attack him with a vengence. They CANNOT let Ben Carson win. This will open a few eyes.
5. Yes, the lack of experience is an issue. But unlike Obama, who drew on academics and political lackeys for advice, Carson’s conservatism would have him call on experienced personnel for support. Would John Bolton make a great Secretary of State?
Another amnesty guy? NO!
I say he would make a Great VP. He could negotiate with Congress on behalf of the President and only ‘racist’ would fail to work with him.

The movie about his life was out long before there was ever a thought about him being President.
For anyone still under the hopeful illusion that Ben Carson is a real conservative:
“He comes back at her, essentially, with something similar to Mitch Daniels’s idea of a “truce” on social issues. We need a big tent right now because rescuing the country from fiscal unsustainability takes precedence over all other disagreements. There’ll be time later to decide which cultural ideas are “barnicles” on the ship of state after it’s been turned around.”
So, with the first horse barely out of the gate, the balkanizing and factional fracturing of conservatives begins.
There is no perfect candidate and Reagan has not yet risen from the dead so why can’t a candidate play out for at least a period of time before the trashing begins?
The end result of this every four year process is a McCain or Romney and it should be obvious that the process as it is, is broken.
Observe, listen and thoughtfully evaluate before engaging in trashing the candidates.

Democrats will start calling him a BINO.
I like him, he’s not one to hyperventilate or get emotional.
He is smart, has a command of the issues and he is articulate...
That is about 100% improvement on most of the politicians you have heard lately :)
How does he overcome the fact that he knows very little about running a government. He is an accomplished, no a star surgeon, and he has the right views and values, but the next POTUS must have an accomplished record of running a govt of size and display a deep understanding of our situation in the world. Having good advisers is not enough.
Because the demoturds blow their arsenal early on and it becomes difficult to bring it up again within the two year period.
He is just a vain small timer, he isn’t the firewall for anything.
Worth a look as VP though...
