VIDEO: Sen. Tim Scott Asked How He Can Stand for the Poor and Be Conservative;
TPNN ^ | 11/7/14

You’ll LOVE His Answer!
On Thursday, Tea Party Senator Tim Scott appeared on MSNBC to discuss the midterm success enjoyed by Republicans on Tuesday.

Sen. Scott made history on Tuesday as he became the first black senator elected since the Civil War. Scott was previously appointed in January 2013 after then Senator Jim DeMint resigned to head the Heritage Foundation.

So, the oh-so-enlightened left should rejoice at the notion that the South has finally elected a black senator, right? On Thursday, MSNBC host Thomas Roberts asked, “You say you’re concerned about kids that are growing up in the wrong zip code and, like yourself, had a tough start on the way out. But if we look at agencies that are following some of your voting records, they have concern. And the NAACP has given you an ‘F’ on their annual scorecard.”

Sen. Scott replied with a laugh and answered, “Let’s just ask ourselves, if we look back over the history when Congress was controlled by the Democrats for 40 consecutive years, if we look at the result of that control, what has happened in black America? We saw greater poverty.”

“[I]f I have an ‘F’ on the NAACP’s scorecard, it’s because I believe that progress has to be made and the government is not the answer for progress. I was a kid growing up in poverty. I had a mentor who was a Chick-fil-A operator … who taught me that the brilliance of the American economy happens through business ownership and entrepreneurial spirit,” he added.

Scott blasted the notion that big government is necessary to bolster Americans, but instead, insisted that in order to succeed, people need “a good education” and “a strong work ethic.”

To the left, believing that such power resides in the individual is outright heresy.

New York Democrat Rep. Charlie Rangel has recently come under fire for attempting to connect Republicans to the Confederacy of yore. To these race-hustlers, Scott rebutted on Wednesday’s “Hannity” on Fox News, “If you look at [Gov.] Bobby Jindal in Louisiana — a person of color. Look at my governor, Nikki Haley — a person of color. And now myself. The South has made so much progress. And the best thing that folks like Mr. Rangel can say is that he’s going to harken back to a 100 years ago, or 70 ago. Let’s talk about tomorrow.” As the South moves ahead on race relations and as the GOP does similarly, it seems the only ones still “hung up” about race are the Democrats. Kudos to Sen. Scott for neutralizing these heinous and disgusting comments.

Of course, Senator Scott will be trashed. He doesn’t fit in with the liberal agenda.

I wish him well. He will go far.

A lot of politicians get grief for going on MSNBC and CNN, as they should. That’s because most of them are bumbling idiots when it comes to confronting Liberals.

This is the rare, and exciting, exception.

It’s a great video, and well worth watching.

Especially for Establishment Republicans.

On, second thought, they would just be as bewildered by his answer as the MSNBC host probably was.

I read yesterday that Tim Scott is the first black to be elected to the House and the Senate. Congratulations, Tim!

His achievement made me wonder. Isn’t there a Congressional Black Caucus? More accurately, a Democrat Congressional Black Caucus? It has been around how long? 30 maybe 40 years?

Not one member of the Democrat Congressional Black Caucus has moved up to the Senate? In how long?

According to Eric Holder and his Disparate Impact Theory, the Democrats are racists.

I think I just did an Alinsky there.

I like this guy already...
I assume he will have great potential in the Democrat party. Man would it not drive the left nuts to eventually have a GOP ticket of this guy and say Mia Love...
May the numbers of minority conservatives increase in our land.

The libs are going to be gunning for Scott. He’s a powerful voice. If he ever did anything wrong in his life, picked his nose in public or sneezed in the wrong direction, Gloria Alred will find a woman he made uncomfortable in 2nd grade, anything at all, the Dems will toss it in their MSM echo chamber and magnify it to bring him down.

I pray for this man.

He needs to answer these journalists by saying, “Be glad you are not running for office because I would beat you too. You campaign with same talking points my opponent did.”

Sounds like Tim Scott has read Reagan's 1980 nomination acceptance speech. No class warfare from this man. Just an indictment of liberal policies and a positive look toward to a brighter future.

Maybe the congressional black caucus should be renamed the congressional black overseers caucus.

All they’ve done in nearly 50 years is whip the slaves into line.

Scott and Love both exemplify the pursuit of excellence and the American Dream of success. The democrats see them as “runaways”, and they don’t plan to thank them for it. Prayers that these two will crush the democrats endless attempts to vilify them for absolutely destroying the left’s false narrative on the right and minorities.

I want the next Republican presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, to make a widely publicized speech in Detroit, where he talks about the history of the "War on Poverty," from LBJ to the present, and asks, "What have Democrats actually done to blacks?"

Tell the Big Truth.

It would be an epochal knockout blow to liberalism.

Frankly I wish the national party had used Detroit as an example of both the destruction wrought be democrat control and the rebirth being driven by GOP control of Michigan.

Rick Snyder isn’t my favorite person but he has done some awfully heavy lifting to restore Detroit. Forcing the bankruptcy is one of those things that needed doing for a long time. Canada has wanted to build a new bridge over the Detroit river for 30 years and been blocked on this side of the river. Snyder managed to get a deal for them to pay the total cost of the bridge and to hire equal numbers of Americans to build it. At the same time, Obama (Mister Infrastructure) refuses to release the $250 million needed to build a massive customs plaza on this side. (Its the second busiest freight crossing on the continent) Black unemployment is falling faster than any other group in Michigan not because we single out blacks but because the jobs are landing where blacks are.

GOP policies at the state level are bringing major investment and business to Detroit. The packard plant has been sold, taxes paid and cleanup begun for a planned half billion dollar development. Developers are competing for access to the old Tiger stadium site. Creditors worked out a deal in the bankruptcy where they are getting prime real estate on the riverfront and are planning on building luxury hotels with residential and business space. The crime rate in Detroit is in free fall. Open/concealed carry, stand your ground laws and a republican appointed pro 2nd amendment police chief are putting a serious hurt on the violent crime rate.

For a couple of years I’ve felt that Detroit was a perfect project for the GOP to take on. Its really pretty amazing what’s going on there under the leadership of the GOP in Michigan alone.
