Boehner vows House will repeal Obamacare
The Washington Times ^ | November 6, 2014 | Stephen Dinan

Posted on 11/06/2014 1:09:36 PM PST by conservative98

He did, however, say the House will vote to repeal Obamacare and will also likely pass a bunch of bills to carve out some of the most contentious parts such as a tax on medical devices or the individual mandate.

“We need to put them on the president’s desk and let him choose,” the speaker said.

They’ve repealed it like 40 times already. More bread and circuses.

Boehner must feel that his grasp on power is at least slightly threatened or he wouldn’t be saying this. I can very easily see a coalition of conservative and a handful of “moderate” conservative, but ambitious, Republicans could form an alliance to overthrow Boehner. HE MUST SENSE THIS OR BE HEARING WHISPERINGS ABOUT THIS POSSIBILITY.

The Medical Device Tax is only one small part of 0bamacare, removing that will only make 0bamcare more acceptable.
Repeal the whole thing.
You should not spend any effort fixing a car that should be going to the crusher.

There are over 300 bills sitting on Harry Reid’s desk. Don’t be suprised to see most of those go to Obama for veto. Then they will go back and hack up every bill into single bills and send it piece by piece to Obama.

This is the Republicans only hope to take the White Hut and keep the Senate in 2016. Every senator up for reelection will have to vote on it and their names will be tied to it.

First up. Close the Border bill. Authorize the transfer of HHS funding to DHS for wall construction. Use the medical device tax money to pay for it. Once built, get rid of the tax.

They’ve repealed it like 40 times already.

Civics 101, the Senate had to vote on what the House passed before it could go to the President.

Reed has never let any of the repeal bills even reach the Senate floor for a vote. If Reed was that intent on not having a repeal vote with democrat fascists in control of the Senate, odds are Boehner will send the same or a similar repeal over in short order to force the Senate to chit or get off the pot.

Listening to both sides, the next two years sound like there is going to be a “one upsmanship” contest, each waiting for the other side to blink.

The bad part of this is the amount of time and OUR MONEY that is going to be wasted by sending bills that will knowingly be rejected. Granted calling odumbo’s bluff is the intent but knowing he will waste the time they have already spent seems such a waste.

I can understand that the repubs want to make odumbo/democrats look like obstructionists (which they are) so the 2016 elections will be more favorable to republicans.

Mr. Boehner had a midnight coffee with Messr. Ted Cruz ... Mitch McConnell was invited, but declined.

After his successful service as "defacto House Majority Whip", Messr. Ted Cruz expressed his ...

"utmost confidence" to John Boehner ...

provided that Boehner get "with the program" ...

starting with a full House vote to repeal ObamaCare ...

and Mitch will be allowed to keep his job as long as the Senate likewise votes to repeal ObamaCare.

Ted Cruz is thinking like Gen. Patton .... ahead to the 2016 senate and house elections.

If the GOP-Tea Party were smart, they'd line up a whole series of votes on key issues like ...

ObamaCare, Iran, ISIS, Keystone Pipeline, Kentucky Coal, a national "fair" Flat-Tax ...

ABOLISHING THE IRS ...

BUILDING a REAL BORDER FENCE ... DEPORTING Illegal Immigrants ...

Voter registration to limit/prevent 2016 fraud ...

just to set-up the remaining Democrats in the House and Senate ...

for another "epic" disaster in 2016.

Take NO prisoners, General Cruz ...

I disagree with the "wasted" perspective.

Let the Democrats be (politically) hung on their own petard ...

Wonder if the Conservatives could make the leadership position contingent on his getting Obamacare overturned.

Oh, I don’t trust the stinking RINOs for one minute. The republican party has been infiltrated by the stinking liberal style of the RINOcrats. What scares the absolute *%#$ out of me is John McCain being head of the Armed Forces Committee. He is all for cutting the throats of veteran benefits and retired military benefits. He wants us to pay nearly half of our retired pay for health care. Why have a stinking retired check if they put it in my checking account and then immediately debit it back out for health care. Everything I signed up for way back in 1970 is about gone. If I had known back in 1970 they would cut our throats and drain our benefits little by little, I might have decided to work at WalMart. The government can after the fact take away our benefits. There is not one damned thing we can do about it. We are old, broken down, injured, disabled, and they know there is nothing we can do.
