Molly Shattuck, the former Ravens cheerleader who was married to onetime Constellation Energy CEO Mayo A. Shattuck III, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree rape and unlawful sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy, Delaware State Police said.

This is unbelievably sad... for all the children involved. This woman has obviously been preoccupied with her youth and needed constant affirmation, clearly a narcisstic personality disorder.

If this was a girl, we would all be shocked... somehow because it's a 15 year old boy...it's expected?
I don't care how hot the mom is.. she's 47 years old and plying the kid with alcohol. I'm pretty sure this would embarrass and scar her own children, especially her son. Obviously the 15 year old victim, was disturbed enough by this... that he told. I'm not arguing that he may have initially felt flattered... but it's just not ok.

Yeah, a couple of things:

1. It is a totally different situation for a teenage boy and an older woman than a teenage girl and an older man. The boy is almost certainly a very eager participant. Chances are he will not be “scarred”—rather he will brag about it to his friends.
2. #1 being said, any adult woman who goes after a high schooler has some kind of mental illness. I suspect in many cases its a desire to return to the “glory days” of their youth. They need psychological help, but not necessarily jail time unless they are repeat offenders. In many cases, the shame of the incident (once it goes public) is probably punishment enough.
3. If a man is the perp, jail time IS mandatory no matter how “willing” the young woman is.

This is one of the few cases where a double standard is called for, IMHO.

Don’t get your panties in a wad, I never approved of this womans actions. I’m simply saying this boy is not disturbed by this. And, I am betting there is more to the story regarding him actually turning her in. I’m guessing the story got spread around and his parents eventually found out.
