Another thing I despise about Martin O Malley (here in Maryland) , drivers licenses for illegals.
Ironically Federal anti-terrorist law passed under GWB forces states like Maryland and CA to mark illegals drivers licenses with ‘Not to be used as a valid Federal government ID’ on them.
So the states know who they are and where they live,
The MSM does their ‘pretend public opinion’ BS and then when that same ‘public’ is actually in a position to demonstrate what they think, the MSM and their Liberal puppet masters are exposed.
It's pretty obvious what has happened. It is the same all across America right now, since Conservative sentiment has exposed the ‘perceived’ acceptance of “O” and HIS BS! There is MORE than a slight wheel-wobble in the MSM representation of support for “O” and the reality of what Americans everywhere REALLY think!

Certainly, US citizen criminals could take advantage of these laws by creating multiple new identities and apply for welfare benefits or simply elude the law.

Blacks DO NOT like, as a rule, illegal aliens, especially those from South of the Border. So this represents an opportunity for other states to do like Oregon and put out ballot measures like this to repudiate the de facto amnesty of illegal aliens.

True, and in the past nobody challenged it. But my understanding from hearing Mark Levin is that the legislature really does have the final say. They just need the knowledge of the Constitution and some guts.
