He had to give DNA because of an arrest for a different crime later. Florida law provides for DNA samples when someone is arrested for a felony or “certain kinds of misdemeanors.”

DNA evidence from the young woman’s bed. Was he was standing over her shedding hair follicles while he was trying so hard to not to wake her, and just commit a nice quiet burglary without anyone getting hurt, and that’s why the first thing he picked up was a very sharp knife?
