It would be redundant, but it would also justify exacting another couple hundred dollars per student and several new ethnic/women’s studies jobs.
Diversity training means acceptance or even celebration of abnormal behavior. Suppose you don’t like a neighbor, customer, or employee because he’s loud, unfriendly and disrespectful. If he’s white, it’s because he’s loud, unfriendly and disrespectful.
However if he’s non-white, you don’t like him because you’re a racist.
These courses are always mandatory, because no one would take them if they were voluntary. They’re always on diversity, never on assimilation.
Five years ago, the State of New Jersey made six hours of education in “cultural competency” (their term for diversity) mandatory for relicensure for all physicians. I took the course in two boring sessions with a roomful of doctors from India, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, China, the Philippines, Nigeria, Cuba, Russia, Poland, and so on. You couldn’t imagine a more diverse (and, by the way, assimilated) group being lectured on diversity.
Diversity! Because dark skinned people deserve more than light skinned people, homosexuals deserve more than heterosexuals, and women deserve more than men.
Yeah, that about sums it up.
Holy crap these people live a bubble - funded by massive cheap debt and fake government controlled interest rates.

In the 1980s, I attended a southern university, which set up a requirement for a one-semester-hour course called ‘introduction to library science’. What they wanted was to force everyone of freshman category to attend this three-hour walk-around their university library and get properly briefed on how to search for books. Of course, you had to pay for this, and the one-semester-hour didn’t help you with your degree.
I argued with the campus representative....having attended a dozen-odd classes while stationed at a west coast location....I was not a freshman, thus should not be under this requirement. She pulled out the book, and decided that I was correct.
I imagine that they still run this gimmick today. Strictly a money-maker for them.
It will be like those philosophy courses we had to take in college. Just tell the hothouse hooligans what they want to hear, get your grade and forget about it. Sell the course material back to the college book store and donate the money to your favorite conservative cause. Oh and let them know you did it. :)
