What is wrong with Kansas anyway? They may even boot their successful governor. My suspicion is that teachers’ unions have way too much power in Kansas, as they do in most other states. It’s too bad that the government school systems are the largest employer in many states.

Agreed. In deep red country, like rural Kansas, Oklahoma, West Texas, and the other Plains states, liberal voters tend to be racial minorities and government employees of one variety or another (except LEOs, who lean conservative).
