I believe it’s not unusual at events with large crowds, such as football games, for women to attempt to use the men’s bathroom because the lines are shorter than for the women’s bathroom.

I’ve been asked to politely stand guard outside on some such occasions to warn other men off and I normally will do so.

This is also often done at bus tour rest-stops.
