Thursday at the Aspen Institute's "Washington Ideas Forum," MSNBC's "Hardball," host Chris Matthews said the Republicans could pick up as many as 10 Senate seats because the democrats have nothing to offer voters except running away from the unpopular leader of their party, President Barack Obama.

Matthews said, the Democrats have no message.

They’ve tried everything.

Now they warn they’re really lose.

That worked well in 2006.

Matthews has severe Potomac Fever so I wouldn't take anything he says to the bank, but I hope he's right.

He needs like 5 years intensive care in flyover country for rehab to get over that Beltway BS he spouts all the time.

They were all within the margin of error as I recall. Guess I was just being hopeful.

IMO, unless the Rats put up a black or Hispanic for President in 2016, they aren’t going to get near the enthusiasm they had with Obama. A woman like Hillary or Fauxahontas just won’t inspire the low info voters. An old, white guy like Biden - forget it.

Six seats would get the job done, but it would be gravy if two of those six were Landrieu and Hagan.

Come on folks. All these predictions of a BIG GOP win is a setup.

A setup for a big let down when the GOP doesn’t win as big as they predict so the media can minimize any GOP victories and still buck up their Rat allies as some type of “come back kids” for doing better than all the “analysts” predicted.

Analysts were predicting a GOP romp in 2010 and it didn’t lower GOP turnout. That was the year of the broken glass Republicans (crawl over broken glass to vote, if need be).

I’ll take the best outcome - Ditch wins, GOP gets Senate, GOPtp takes majority leadership, Ditch sits on the backbench.

The higher the number of ‘R’s, the better. It might mean the difference of having the House/Senate in 2016 for Cruz, or, just the House in 2016 for Cruz. Remember, the Senate class favors Repub in 2014, but favors ‘Rats in 2016 - likely to lose some of the 2014 gains.

I’d rather keep even his seat in the reach for veto override (and Constitutional Amendment territory), that’s our ultimate goal here, isn’t it?

I say B.S.!!! There will be a massive fraudulent illegal voter turnout on Tuesday! I think we are going to be very disappointed and the gleeful RATS along with New York Times headlines will read “ the Republicans went down with a thump”!

LOL, I’ll never forget, I think it was when Bush was re-elected in 2004, that the “Today Show” opened up with a very morose Perky Katie Couric, in a black dress reporting Bush’s victory, LOL.

Reverse psychology.
The Dems will use every dirty trick possible and some that aren’t.
Dem voting fraud is rampant and the stupid ,or perhaps traitorous, leaders of the RNC back in Reagan’s time agreed to not raise the issue ever again as part of a ridiculous consent decree when the Dems sued the RNC. The Republicans just don’t seem to want to FIGHT for our values.

Rush has a good point though.

He's been saying that the polls are propaganda until the last week, when the pollsters and media start giving the real poll results to save their credibility.

I still think think Dems hold the Senate and take the House by 2016 with El Presidente Comrade Hillary.

I seriously doubt any Republican can win with the 3rd party candidate (Libertarians) sucking off even 1% and overcoming the cheat vote. In the past a Republican had to win by at least 3 points to secure victory. I think that number has increased to at least 5 or 6 points. If not the Rats can produce enough fraud to win.

2016 may be the last ballot I cast. Until a radical catalyst occurs I see no point in casting a vote.
