Mitch McConnell willing to kill Obamacare with just 51 votes

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., says he would be willing to repeal Obamacare with a simple majority if he takes over as majority leader in January, his spokesman told the Washington Examiner on Thursday.

The announcement comes just days before Tuesday's midterm congressional election, in which Republicans have a strong chance of seizing the upper chamber from the Democrats and putting the Kentucky senator in charge.

"Leader McConnell is and has always been committed to the full repeal of Obamacare, and he'll continue to lead efforts to repeal and replace it with patient-centered reforms that enable greater choice at lower costs. He knows it won't be easy, but he also believes that if Republicans are fortunate enough to take back the majority we’ll owe it to the American people to try through votes on full repeal, the bill’s most onerous provisions, and reconciliation,” McConnell spokesman Brian McGuire wrote in an emailed statement.

“Two thirds of 100 is 66+2/3, so 67.”

It doesn’t matter, a simple majority vote will be enough to get it to Obama’s desk. Let Obama be on record once a year for puting American thou this.

I would even attach it to items, and while we are attaching things to Items Get rid of the Individual Mandate and ban any bailouts to any insurance company particularly those financing democrats.

We need theses companeses to go under because there is no room in a free-market for companies and shareholders who would coop government to strip us of that same freedom.

Theses companies wanted all the mandated services, let them choke on it, but DO NOT Give them one dime of taxpayer money. Let them sink beneath the wave and let other more honest cooperation take their place.

Didn't McConnell tell the socialists at NPR (yesterday) that he would let ObamaCare stand ?

I hope that McConnell's internal polls say he's losing to that Democrat lady ...

and (since the GOP will WIN the Senate anyway WITHOUT Mitch) ...

I say ...

Burn-Baby-Burn for McConnell's DEFEAT in Kentucky.

"This Tuesday Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he won’t move to repeal Obamacare if Republicans win a majority this year."

Mitch can't return to the Senate without at least a FEW conservative votes. He stepped on his own landmine this week. Now he's trying to get off the landmine without losing his job, the Senate and power.

McConnell is an oxygen waster. He is a liar who will say what ever he thinks the listener wants to hear.

He will never, not with 60 Pubbies even attempt to repeal OC.

This makes taking over the Senate even more worth while.

Aah but then there is the noisy few that will vehemently argue that point to thread extinction.

They have to kill the funding; there’s too few votes to override a veto killing the law itself.

Personally, I’m highly skeptical that the GOP would repeal obamacare, or do much of anything else worthwhile, if you gave them 100% of the seats.

It’s the same old story: The Dems propose to tear down the Washington Monument, and the Republicans respond with a workable plan to do it in three stages.

“Wow, Mitch must have bought a clue. He sure didn’t have one a few days ago.”.

Won’t know what he will do until he wins reelection. We know what Grimes will do.

Repeal of Obamacare requires 67 Senate votes, and 291 in the House.

De-funding doesn't

The takeaway from this for me is that his pollster told him he could well lose unless he finds a way to bring home a significant number of disgruntled conservative voters.

“Tell them whatever you have to tell them.”

Like Romney.

Pelosi, to find out what is in it, vote for it.

McConnell, to know what I’ll do, just vote me in again.

True leadership knows no party lines for people like these.
