Maybe an unintended consequence of this will be that some Democrats who are pro-Israel will vote Republican particularly for the US Senate.
I doubt that many Jewish Democrat voters will switch sides. They hate Netanyahu too, many of them, and love Obama’s liberalism. And how many Gentile Democrats are pro-Israel? Are there any? But this controversy does contribute to the overall sense that the Obama White House is incompetent to conduct foreign affairs.

There are too many Progressives in the Democrat party who hide behind other people’s religious faith and who will never vote for anything other than a Progressive, no matter what, even if the Progressive wants Israel pushed into the sea.
