Charlie Crist has slightly nudged ahead of Gov. Rick Scott in Quinnipiac Universitys latest poll that shows the Democrat picks up 43 percent support from likely voters to the incumbents 40 percent.
That apparent 3 percentage point lead for Crist is essentially a tie because its within the polls margin of error, but the poll of 800 likely voters indicates Crist has some momentum on his side.
Last week, Quinnipiac surveyed the governors race and found it dead even between Crist and Scott, with each getting 42 percent. So the contest has shifted a net 3 percentage points in Crists favor or a net 5 points compared to Quinnipiacs September survey that showed Scott with a negligible lead.
Boosting Crist: the strong support of self-identified independents, who favor the Democrat over Scott by a spread of 47-29 percent.
Independent voters are often the difference in swing states like Florida, but the size of former Gov. Charlie Crists lead among them is truly remarkable, Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement.

Why do people move away from crap-holes only to vote to turn the places they move to crap-holes?
What Floridians see in Charlie Crist is beyond me...
Oh, never mind... they voted in Obama twice.
My mom, who lives in the Treasure Coast area, noted just the other day that the snow birds were already showing up. Earlier this year than normal. Now I know why; so they could vote down here.
I wonder if they even know it’s illegal to vote in two states? Or in one if you are not a permanent resident?..................They should all be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law......................
I wonder how many CANADIANS vote in Florida?........................
“Why do people move away from crap-holes only to vote to turn the places they move to crap-holes?”
It’s what locusts do.
It figures. Thanks. I wonder what their rationale was, other than the D behind his name.
I was down in Boca early this week. There were tons of Charlie signs in the medians (none in actual yards). I’m pretty sure they made way too many and no one wanted them, so they just wasted them.
Driving across 60, through the solid red part of FL, there were many large signs for Putnam (Agriculture, you know that but other readers might not), good size ones for some State rep and Bondi (Atty Gen), and a couple small ones for Scott. Hopefully folks will vote for Scott while they are voting for the other Republicans.
Yes, wouldn’t that be interesting to know.
Imho, Scott will win by 3 points.

As I posted on another thread that is about how 70% of (I think it was New Hampshire’s) new jobs were going to immigrants, both legal and illegal:
As a resident of FL, I have to decide between Charlie Crist and Rick Scott, or some third party candidate. I will never vote for Crist. Scott signed into law a bill that allows illegals to get in-state tuition at our state colleges. Why should I vote for Scott when he puts illegals ahead of citizens?
I’m really waiting for someone to have a good answer and talk me into voting for him. At this point I’m writing in Allen West.
The Dems are going to cheat, maybe you can cast a vote for Scott that’s really just one to offset their cheating? I hope in the end you’ll choose to vote against Crist, but I know how you feel and it’s your decision to make.
