The legislature has passed a law allowing for medical marijuana...this amendment is not about medicine.
Of course the media isn't too interested in the state Constitution. Otherwise, they'd be defending the state Constitution regarding marriage.
I used to like Cefalo but over the years he has become progressively self-impressed, or at least he sounds that way to me. The only thing he’s done that could be considered conservative is to regularly trash Debbie Wasserman. It really disgusts me how he mocks and demeans rural and southern people.
Of course it won’t pass. Too many people making money off ‘homegrown’........................

California is filled with people with debilitating illnesses that requires that they toke daily. My stepson went to visit his aunt in California several years ago and said that she continuously lit up all day while he was there. He said she had a medical marijuana permit. I asked him what condition she had and he said she’s not sick, she just said that so she could smoke marijuana. To put it mildly, I was pissed because she was so addicted she lit up around hum. He says he didn’t try it but I have my doubts.
I suspect many if not at least 90% of the medical marijuana permits are bogus.
The active ingredient could easily be dispense in pill or liquid form.
Funny how smoking cigarettes is evil but smoking pot is ok.
Interesting thing is that people who will vote Republican here but have a libertarian bent will also vote for Amendment 2. Voting Republican does not automatically mean a vote against MJ.
Even Freepers! I voted straight R on the front of my ballot, and pro-MJ, pro-tax-increase on the back. I must confuse the ballot counters :)
