She is loving every minute of this. I know these sort of whackos. I know many Freepers fall all over themselves thinking anyone who goes to some exotic location to give medical care is Mother Teresa. Usually not so.
They go because it makes them feel special, and trendy and because they LOVE any culture where people have not progressed beyond hut living and carrying water on their heads.
And they love, LOVE, love to come back and brag about their adventures. Unfortunately for them no one usually cares outside of their bubbles filled with other a-holes just like them. Most Americans have zero curiosity about their exploits.
I wonder whether her culotte-wearing boyfriend ditched his Smart Car when the SHTF.
As I said earlier today,t his woman is a unbelievable selfish, self-centered person.
If she were truly a "caring health care worker," then she would be absolutely concerned about her potential to infect people here with the disease she is said to have helped treat in Africa.
Something is not right about this whole thing.
I would not wish such a thing on anyone, but I bet if she ends up coming down with the disease, her entire attitude will cahnge...or not. She may then want to blame the rest of us on her misfortune.
I do know this...state governments are absolutel right to demand a 21 day quarantine. And it should not bee self-administered. And that should only be applied to "learkers," from a system like the following, which should have been implemented 3-4 months ago:
A PLAN TO ISOLATE THE EBOLA CRISIS IN WEST AFRICA:
1. Any U.S. citizen working in West Africa (in any way) in any of the striken countries should have a mandatory 21-day quarantine imposed on them at a clean facility at the airport in that nation. Then, when they clear that, they should be flown back to the United States on specially chartered aircraft that bring only US citizens back who are shown to be virus free.
2. All travel on commercial flights and shipping from those nations to the U.S. should be halted until the crisis is past.
3. No new travel visas for the U.S. should be approved or given to any individual from any of those nations until the crisis is past.
4. No current travel visa holders from any of those nations who are seeking to come to the U.S. should be allowed to do so. They should be stopped at those air ports and ports and informed thaat they cannot travel to the U.S. until the crisis is past.
