Politics: In case you haven't heard: Hillary Clinton wants to retract the statement she made at a campaign rally last Friday in front of adoring fans that businesses and corporations don't create jobs.
Never mind that it's all on camera and that she certainly looked like she was in full command of her faculties and having a grand old time ripping the nation's job creators.
After becoming a national laughingstock, she now says she meant to say: "Our economy grows when businesses and entrepreneurs create good-paying jobs here in America, and workers and families are empowered to build from the bottom up and the middle out — not when we hand out tax breaks for corporations that outsource jobs or stash their profits overseas."
That's right: She really loves businesses, always has.
This is the same Hillary whose first contribution to public policy was 20 years ago, when she foisted the wildly unpopular HillaryCare on the nation. When informed then that it would drive many businesses into bankruptcy, she haughtily replied: "I can't go out and save every undercapitalized entrepreneur in America."
Yes, she's a real champion of the nation's employers.
But almost equally absurd is her new spin that what she's really against is "tax breaks for corporations that outsource jobs" and the "trickle-down economics" that has "failed spectacularly."

I also resent her smarmy condescending tone of voice here. Have any liberals ever defined for us exactly what trickle down economics is, and why they oppose it???

I don't think so. I remember this and I'm pretty sure the actual quote was even more arrogant than that, to wit, (recited in a very condescending nasal tone, "I can't be responsible for every undercapitalized business, Senator."

The ability to tell bald-faced lies while looking straight into a TV camera is a must-have skill for the Democrat parties.
That includes the ability to say that you didn’t actually say what you were obviously saying yesterday.
The kicker is to make the main point of your explanation that the only people who will insist that you actually did say what you said yesterday are stupid, or are themselves liars.
Republicans would probably do this too if they thought the MSM would help them put it over, like they do with Democrats.

She may be denying it, but it’s with a wink and a nod as she said what she meant to say to appeal to the fringe base, they’re not going to hear her apologize and correct and amend.
Liberals can never define anything they hurl at us. I was having a dust up recently with a liberal woman on Face Book who put up some smarmy post with the face of some smug little sherpa hat wearing hackey-sack type , you know, the type who hang out in front of a Starbucks skate boarding all day, live with mom and dad and don’t work and who voted for Obama. It’s a rant about about how we Republicans want dirty air, we want to starve little kids, kill off ObamaCare, throw old ladies in wheelchairs down the stairs, etc. . And when I asked this young woman to explain this, when I told her the history of the Democrat party( The Confederacy, the creation of the KKK, Jim Crow , etc) suddenly I was a ‘’right wing hater’’ and a ‘’racist’’ and that was the end of the exchange.
Trickle down economics worked with Reagan. During the Reagan recovery we had quarters with 7% growth. In fact, the Reagan recovery continued through Clinton’s administration. Compare and contrast with the miserable economic performance of democrats and the current occupant of the White House.
