PRAGUE (AFP) - Blackmailers are threatening to spread Ebola in the Czech Republic unless Prague pays them a million euros' worth of the virtual Bitcoin currency, police said Monday.
An e-mail allegedly from the blackmailers claiming they had "biological material" from an infected patient in Liberia was published by the country's top commercial TV station, TV Nova, on Monday.
"An unknown perpetrator or perpetrators are blackmailing this state, threatening to spread the Ebola virus," the country's deputy police chief Zdenek Laube told reporters.

The Czech Republic should hunt down those terrorist who made the threat and kill them. Period.
Obozo would just pay them and ask them not to hurt us, if he could.

I know what Ronald Reagan would do. But there are no more Reagans on the national stage. Palin came the closest...but there are no more Reagans on the national stage.
I've thought of a few ways terrorists can spread the virus and I'm sure there are more that I haven't thought of. But we won't have hospitals at that point, just isolation / treatment centers. The treatment won't be great, victims will mostly have to heal themselves or succumb. But after the initial set of infections the attack will be over.
As long as we don't wash our dead, keep the dying at home, cart them around in taxis, etc. It is certainly possible to have a lot of victims in such an attack, on the order of 100's. But not many beyond that. If it spread the way some people claim, a lot more people in West Africa would be infected or dead by now.
