I think you’re seing the not so fine hand of Obama -and his personal obsessions - here. He regards any acknowledgement of the fact that this disease is coming to us from Africa to be bigoted and unfair. He sees everything in terms of his identification with his self-chosen persona, which would be defender of Africa against the evil white West. Thus he has to deny that anything bad could come from Africa, even though the Africans had nothing to do with it and I’m sure would be much happier without it. Also, if they have to suffer, his feeling is that we should have to suffer too. It’s not enough just for us to try to help them.

The same applies to his refusal to classify Muslim attacks as terrorism: he sees himself as the defender of Muslims, and therefore he has to deny that they could do anything bad.

In other words, he’s the type of crazy who believes reality is what he says it is. And he has found enough adherents who will support him and apparatchiks who are afraid of him to be able to impose his lunacy on the rest of us.

and now the MSM is going to treat this story with much greater hysteria, because it has stuck NYC, headquarters of the MSM, and they love reporting on themselves.

this is just an unforced error by the obamites. a very big one, and one that is very easy to understand.

“Cuomo is up for reelection. He will not change his mind unless his poll numbers drop. I doubt they will over this.”

But November 5th is not far off.

So the Obama Administration is basically telling everyone that they want to PURPOSELY infect people..here’s an idea, send all those health care workers to the White House, or to MSNBC..keep them there for 21 days and let’s see what happens

Yes, I get that Obola hates America and wants to see “white payback”. But saying he WANTS ebola to spread through the US makes no sense to me.

If ebola takes hold here, it will DECIMATE overcrowded, poor areas first, which are the Democrats CORE VOTERS!

" senior administration official, who did not want to be identified in order to discuss private conversations with state officials on the issue, called the decision by the governors “uncoordinated, very hurried, an immediate reaction to the New York City case that doesn’t comport with science.”"

The stupid - it hurts!

Feynman's The Meaning of It All, Thoughts of a Citizen Scientist should be required reading for everyone, especially anyone who believes "the science is settled."

she has been kept under quarantine at a hospital in New Jersey, where she has been confined to a tent equipped with a portable toilet and no shower.

Wow, somebody finally figured out what 'viral containment' actually entails! Will the wonders never cease?

I’m sure quarantine was a damn sight cleaner than her surroundings in Sierra Leone.

"“uncoordinated, very hurried, an immediate reaction to the New York City case that doesn’t comport with science.”

From the CDC.

That quote will be in the history books at least 100 years hence.

It will be a section on whether the Governors win a policy/legal decision over POTUS, OR NOT.

Established law is voluminous that Governors not only have the Trump Card in these matters, but ALL the cards in play.

So ultimately, and essentially, this fight will be about Federalism and the role of the Central, Fascist Authority.

Overall it's wise but unfortunate. It still doesn't go far enough. What about others from those countries? We have no way of knowing how close they may have come to an ebola victim. They may not know themselves.

The tent makes sense. It gives some protection to the hospital and hundreds of sick patients. Let them go back to their apartments and if a case does erupt into full-blown ebola, send in the Hazmat team. That puts the whole apartment residents into panic mode (it could) and is unfair to the owner. Same with businesses these people frequent if not being quarantined.

It bruises their egos and a slippery slope. I wouldn't like it either but would try to console myself it is for the greater good. There is a good excuse now. I can envision how this practice could be abused in the future.

Yeah, okay. But what are they doing with this crisis? I don’t see a pet cause being assisted, or a chosen group getting a secret benefit, or a sacred liberal cow being fed.

Once Ebola escapes, think of the POWER the Federal government will then claim to exercise. Quarantines, relocation camps, control of food distribution... the list goes on and on. Do you really think that Commander Zero has no interest in exercising such powers?

Do you have any further questions?

These state quarantines are ham handed and inefficient. But given the complete abdication of leadership from the WH what else are they supposed to do? Ban the damned flights already.

I think it has to do with redistribution of pain and illness. The commie-crats want people in this country unsafe and sharing diseases from other countries.

That sounds like tin-foil material, but nothing surprises me anymore with these far left wing nut jobs.
