I just now read the article but have not yet read the replies so if I have repeated something from another poster I apologize. That said, my comment is that, “this is another prime example for instituting term limits on all of our legislators.” The good ole’ boy network and being a long time ‘DC insider has put Mitch at the top of the list for those Senators and Congressmen that are out of touch with the people they represent and with what needs to be done for saving our Country. It seems that almost every long time elected official becomes deluded with the notion that ‘they know better than everyone else ‘ as to what our needs are. This idea holds true for all of the lackey’s and yes men that surround those same politicians. After all is said and done, these underlings are most definitely trying to save their jobs and lifestyles. Might I add, that they probably don’t give two wits for the constituencies of their bosses.

I’m glad you edited that. When I first read post #64 it really wasn’t making any sense.

Just before the election in 2012, Chris Christie and Obama fondled each other—Christie giving Obama cover. Now, just before the election, McConnell jumps in the breach to provide cover for Obama. We are truly being governed by complete fools.

Honestly I've got to say that I'm not surprised, and this is why if I were voting in Kentucky I'd vote for Grimes instead of this f'n bastard. It would be worth it to see him lose, even if it meant losing a Republican majority because with him as leader it would only be a Rino/Gop-e majority.

God damn him to hell for his cowardice.

Mitch cares about one person and one person only, and that's Mitch.

Let that roll around in your noodles a little bit.

It is a vote but the choice is foregone.

This is all a pretty much inevitable progression set in motion by the passage of the 17th Amendment. It is not reversible.
