I read the thread to this point. My home town of Pueblo has huge numbers of Americans of Mexican descent. Many of these families have been in Pueblo since before Colorado became a state in 1876. Almost all are English first bilinguals.
Most won't vote at all. The rest are Democrats. Even without a language barrier getting my friends to vote at all is difficult. Overcoming the anti-Republican bias more so.
Even so, I think your idea has merit. We should try.
