Yeah, all that money, job security, gold-plated benefits, non-stressful work environment, pensions & vacations would wear me out, too...
It wore me out - retiring next month. After 24 years active duty, the 15 years in Civil Service has jaded me. Many of us work directly with our military counterparts and have the military state of mind. We work hard and hate what we see happening to our military. We are the ones who are tired of all the 'scoobies"; we aren't the lazy, back-stabbing bureaucrats that most think of when they impugn government workers. Other than the vacation time, all my "scoobies" come from the fact that I spent my active duty time and have TriCare.
