Here's A Map Of Where The NYC Ebola Patient Went

Craig Spencer, a 33-year-old doctor, is the first person found to have Ebola in New York City.

Since Spencer was rushed to Manhattan's Bellevue Hospital on Thursday, immediately after showing symptoms, health officials have been retracing his steps and working to identify anyone the patient may have come into contact with since returning to the United States from Guinea on Oct. 17.

As a member of Doctors Without Borders, Spencer had been treating Ebola patients in Guinea, one of the three West African countries hit hardest by the Ebola epidemic.

At a news conference on Thursday night, Mayor Bill de Blasio urged New Yorkers not be alarmed.

Ebola patients cannot spread the virus until they begin showing symptoms. Ebola is transmitted only through contact with an infected person's blood or other bodily fluids, and not through casual contact.

Here's a quick timeline of the events shortly before the time Spencer received his diagnosis, and where he traveled.

Since October 17….that’s quite a bit of time and the potential for contact with quite a lot of people.

My guess is that graphic is about 1/10th the story. After 6 days in Manhattan before being admitted to Bellevue he went to many more places than that.

Obama wants to keep the flights from West Africa coming.

Does he not realize that most of the people on those flights are black? That as soon as they get in the States, they’ll head for the black hoods, not the white ones?

IOW, Obama’s continued-flights-policy will put the BLACK communities most at risk. I know Obama doesn’t give a crap about the blacks in Chicago, but does he have that much malice towards ALL blacks that he would deliberately put them most at risk for Ebola with this idiotic policy?

Bowling for Ebola. I’m sure he rented the shoes.

EXCERPT:

Dr. Spencer and his live-in girlfriend, Morgan Dixon, 30, were both quarantined at Bellevue at noon Thursday as cops retraced their steps since the doctor returned from Guinea on Oct. 17, the sources said.

Spencer had spent Wednesday night bowling in Williamsburg. He used an Uber car service to get to and from the Brooklyn neighborhood.

Hipster bowling hot spot The Gutter was closed last night due to “unforseen circumstances.”

Spencer had spent a month treating Ebola patients in Guinea, according to his Facebook page.

He landed at Kennedy Airport on Oct. 17 on a connecting flight from Brussels, Belgium, the sources said. With enhanced screening in place, officials checked his temperature upon arrival, and it was a healthy 98.6 degrees, the sources said.

SNIP

As doctors waited for his test results, a team of disease detectives searched for everyone who had been in contact with Spencer. That includes Dixon, who was picked up at her Downtown Brooklyn office on Thursday afternoon. So far, she has not shown any symptoms.

Neighbors have seen the couple around town since he arrived home. Dixon even dropped off the couple’s clothes at a local dry cleaner on Wednesday.

“I washed his clothes. I’ll be OK, right? It’ll be OK,” worker John Byun, 60, asked The Post.

The NYPD’s missing-persons squad is looking at Spencer’s MetroCard, credit cards and bank statements to follow his trail since he arrived back in the city, law-enforcement sources said.

SO, THIS DOCTOR HAD HIS CLOTHES CLEANED AT A NEW YORK LAUNDROMAT !!!

RE: Bowling for Ebola. I’m sure he rented the shoes.

They’ve identified the bowling lane that he played on — LANE NUMBER 4.

What bowling ball he used is yet to be determined...

“I’m sure he rented the shoes.”

I didn’t even think about that. Excellent point.

I wonder, did he take the Air Train to Penn, did he get a ride from a friend, or did he hire a car for the trip from the airport to his apartment?

Telling us not to panic, and you can’t catch EBOLA this way and that, but they are going through an awful lot of trouble to track this guys movements…..

On another note, Bellevue is supposed to be prepared for Ebola and was supposedly all set up, but I read in one of the news reports that they were searching for certain meds from other area hospitals.

This doctor is an irresponsible idiot.

RE: did he hire a car for the trip from the airport to his apartment?

Radio talk show host Mike Gallagher says he did. He also hired an Uber car apparently.

Thank you. At this point, it’s all about avoiding a panic.

Too late.

Currently chatter on Twitter about a family that just arrived from Guinea in Long Island, no quarantine and sent their kid to the local school.

Parents freaking out. Nothing is confirmed, yet. The district is called Connetquot.

BUT! BUT! BUT!

He was self quarantining on the subway because you can give somebody Ebola on a subway but nobody can get Ebola from you on a subway.

Obama told us so, so it must be true.
