From the beginning America has worked to avoid the tyranny of the monarchy; our forefathers saw up close and personal the disastrous effects of a king gone bad. George III (1738 to 1820) reigned for almost 60 years -- which would have been bad enough without the fact that for the last 10 or those years George was stark raving mad. Were only 6 years into a presidency gone bad and I, for one, am profoundly thankful that there wont be another 50+ years of this terrifying laughingstock of a regime.
Barack Obama has created so much havoc with his ideology and policies that it will take us years to recover. His high-handed, pen-and-phone end runs around the Constitution ought to land him in prison, but he is creating the biggest mess by just being who he is.
A president is powerful not just because he can sign laws into being, declare war, sign executive orders, negotiate treaties, and select Supreme Court justices. He has much more influence than that which is delegated to him through our Constitution.
Any person in power, whether he is a parent in the family, a teacher in the classroom, a county commissioner, a newscaster or a writer, has the power of his personality. The president, because of the press and the efficiency of modern technology, has the power to change the way people think just through his personality.
I saw that happen during the Clinton years -- I cant tell you how often I overheard high school students using Slick Willy as an example when they were discussing sexual exploits. Well, if its OK for Clinton
The truth of the matter is that when a human being is in a prominent position we can all feel it....

I fear this is the case. This is an electorate that elected this islamo Bolshevik twice. The Germans did not vote Hitler into office even once and the Russians did not vote the Bolsheviks into power in those 1920 elections.
His party was almost voted into power, leading Hindenburg to name him Chancellor.
Churchill's strategic directives to his war cabinet:
1. Destroy manufacturing industry ...starting with ball bearing factories
2. Destroy means of production or petroleum products
3. Destroy means of production of electricity...start with coal mines and railways.
4. Terrorize the population ...fire bomb Dresden.
And the Obama equivalents:
1. Taxes, EPA, Obamacare and jobs exported
2. Stop the Keystone pipeline and target Fracking
3. EPA and CO2 to shut down coal fired electrical generators
4. Introduce Ebola and numerous diseases into USA by open borders, import thousands of illegal children from South America and continue to allow flight from Ebola infected countries.
Beauty School dropout go back to high school.
Congress declares war not the President (at least he isnt supposed to).
Ill let the Supreme Court thing pass. Not technically the right word (select should be appoint with the approval of the Senate).
There is no power conferred upon the office of the president in the Constitution to issue executive orders. In reality the president can issue directives to the executive departments on how a given law is to be executed within the bounds of that law but through the years that power has been abused beyond all recognition. Obama has issued executive orders basically instructing departments to ignore laws entirely. And Congress goes about its business ignoring its responsibility to counter these abuses of power.
I think it was Von Papen who appointed Hitler Reich Chancellor -- just as his voting power was beginning to slip.
