Iran/Persia was a secular Monarchy for thousands of years just because we assisted the Shah of Iran with his Monarchy doesn’t mean that we forced them to accept a form of government they’ve had for 3,000 years and a Secular one to boot. Isn’t that a tad bit arrogant too when a leader would be close to the United States to bash him? He’s probably more pro-US than most US liberals.
