Transgender military personnel from a number of American allied countries met in Washington, D.C. this week to discuss what they say are the benefits of allowing open transgenders in active military service.
Organized by the American Civil Liberties Union, the conference met in the nations Capitol to continue pressure on the Pentagon to allow open transgenders to serve in the U.S. military.
Advocates and many in the medical and scientific field believe that people are not born with a specific gender but are assigned one at birth, but that assignment may not match up to the persons gender identity such that a man may believe he is really a woman and vice versa.

It was a nightmare.
I hear you.
I knew someone who fragged his lieutenant (I think that was his rank). According to his story, the lieutenant was a fool who was making bad decisions, so he shot him through the hip. This was in Viet nam, and this person was a very decorated soldier. I never knew that to think, but I was very young. He was the older brother of my best friend, and I learned that he died ten or so years ago.
I think that these people are playing with fire.
I think it’s a mistake. I’m not convinced these folks are as interested in serving their country as they are themselves.
When it comes to war, it should be straight men all the way. I realize that’s old school when it comes to women, but that’s how I see it.
I don’t want someone who can barely make the physical. I want someone who exceeds it by a wide margin.
These men all depend on each other, and only the best physically qualified should be out there.
Some men should not be out there.
When it comes to fragging your officers, I’m not in favor of it. We all know how circumstances can alter our judgment. I’d hate to have to make a call like that after three bad nights, little sleep, and being cranky as can be. Heck, I’m bad enough in a stable environment. LOL
Then, for the rest of the 15 minutes, they talked about purses, fab shoes, and trends in makeup. Oh, and Gwyneth Paltrow, who is sooooooooo darling!
0's going to be all over this.
This is one of those issues that Homobama figures is right in his bathwheelhouse.
Benefits? What? Fabulous USO shows? All gender latrines? I’m not seeing it.
I wouldn’t worry about too much, they probably pooled their money and rented a large hotel room, went in and won’t be seen until checkout.
I could not agree more, DoughtyOne.
Transgenderphobe!
Transgenderphobe!
“Advocates and many in the medical and scientific field believe that people are not born with a specific gender but are assigned one at birth”
Thought #1 - I would suspect the ratio of advocates to people in medicine and science is rather lopsided. Assuming these are actual scientists and the like.
Thought #2 - The elimination of male and female gender has been the endgame for a lot of the LGBT crowd. It was mostly underground in years past, but is at the forefront now. The idea that there are men and there are women, with but a small percentage of outliers cropping up for one reason or another, is poison to the agenda. Destroying that image and replacing it with “all lifestyles are equal in prevalence and correctness” is the only way to mainstream their own ranks.
I don’t want someone that can’t identify their own gender to be making life and death decisions for me on the battlefield. Enough already with the social experiments!

They aren’t Americans? But they are lobbying for what is best for America’s military? I guess the pentagon couldn’t find enough US trannie volunteers to staff a conference table?
LOL...... what “allied countries” sent us their trannies to make our military policy? Holland? Japan? I am running short on who we have as allies these days
Soon we will need the “Tomb of the Unknown Gender”.
ROTFLOL! Thanks, I needed that...:-)
Exactly why would we want to give weapons to mentally ill perverts, and train them to use those weapons? That makes no sense.
I’m against it, but I have never been in combat. Would I accept the leadership of someone whom I thought would make decisions that would result in my death, or in a devastating injury?
According to the story that I heard, this was a wound that was not fatal. Still, the thought of what the lieutenant must have suffered has haunted me, assuming that this story was true.
Let them in as front line “Shock Troops”... /s
