A Russian Simusar freighter with tons of bunker oil and diesel oil lost power about three days ago. It drifted near Canada's west coast. Leaving Everett, Washington it was bound for Russia.
Canadian and American coast guard vessels and others joined in the approach of a pending ecological disaster. An American tugboat hauled it to Prince Rupert, British Columbia and it was secured safely.
