Last sentence from the article:I have a real fear of that. Thank goodness for people like Ted Cruz.

LOL! Yup. Just look how well it worked out when the asshats from the early to mid 60’s came to be our “leaders”. Worked out for somebody. Of course you have to define “worked out”.

The young people today get all their info from NPR and the Daily Beast and HuffPo. I just look at the carpola my two nieces post on Facebook. Its starting to color my feelings toward them. I have to keep telling myself its not their fault they were raised and programmed to be what they are today. Very sad.

Facebook....IIRC, In the past, I have posted some pretty acerbic and caustic comments regarding people who use Facebook as a means of contact, personal indulgenc and expression. I meant the comments not in an attempt to disparage grandmas and grandpas, wives, husbands active in a community with common interests, religious or other universal interests. But there are some truly worthless, pointless, aimless lives out there on Facebook just begging others in the same philosophical boat to take notice of them to get 'noticed' and followed, tweeted, twitted, twerked or whatever. Probably the biggest insult I could give to a teenaged girl like this is to post a note (however one does that) telling everyone she buys her shoes at K-Mart.

So. It sounds like Fox ripped off Hannity’s “Man on the Street” segments, huh?

“The liberal professors have taught them to view America through the lens of the past rather than the present. “

I disagree completely. What they have been taught about the past is mostly lies and misrepresentations. Then they point to the negative things today and say “See America was rotten from its roots” and it seems plausible, because something has to explain all the rottenness of today.

What they don’t point out is that abandonment of the principles of the past, which made America great, in favor of the communist agenda is what is causing the rottenness of today. It is a complete inversion of reality. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.

“they lack breadth on the issues that they claim to be well informed on”

There was a study that compared the recent generation on a standardized test that has been around for over 60 years, as well as their own self assessment. This generation was shown to be the dumbest and most arrogant. In other words while they knew less, they actually thought they knew the most.

Oh, I don’t doubt or disagree with what you say, but the “liberal professors” stuff is not mine. What tainted our largely vacuous youth today began in Kindergarten.

Principles, morals, right and wrong and liberally-revised history for much of today’s youth is the result of do-gooder, appeasing revisionist conciliatory rewritten history. There are still parents out there who struggle to overcome this but the task is one that is the 24 hr/day kind.

Given Obama and his ilk and what he’s done, I’d say the best thing anybody (young) today can do is learn to speak Spanish.

When I leave the office I have a 30-40 minute drive home and always catch the last hour of Hannity's radio program, which I enjoy... unlike his television show (which seems to have a panel of 4 people every night all talking over each other) which I simply can not tolerate.

During that last hour of the radio program, there is always heavy interaction between Sean and his obviously younger staff... I actually enjoy hearing some of the commentary from those kids... it gives me a glimmer of hope most of the time... and it acts as a foil to Sean's propensity to keep hammering on the same point over and over and over again, like he can't see the forest.

“This reveals to me that they probably do not read anything that they believe goes against the liberal narrative.”

She nailed it with this statement, and a few others. I have proposed to libidiots I debate (however briefly, due to points the writer made) to attempt to argue the opposing view (my side) while I argue their point of view. They are completely bereft of even considering how to do that. Incredible! Fools have no idea of the opposing views and no depth in how to propose some points for the opposing view.

Not all young people follow HuffPo. Matter of fact, I’d say only one young person among my Facebook friends does (and, boy, does she), and I have a lot of friends and relatives there in their teens or twenties (although admittedly a lot of them are through church). I do have a few relatives who do not seem capable of coherent thought, but, best I can tell, they’re not following any news at all. :p
