“militarization” in this case means the establishment of artic bases with long range air defence capability ( cold weather fighter jets and bombers). Russia has claimed parts of Canada, and will now secure them. Canada can do nothing........yet, except surrender or die in two languages.
Cold weather fighter jets and bombers? There are still going to have very limited usability. But we’ll probably just sit there as they try and they’ll develop better cold weather technology than us.
There is a large increase in point of failures (unknown knowns) and not just for the jets and bombers, for the base in general.
