They are all major hubs, so the restriction is irrelevent.

And they can simply get on a connecting flight to anywhere in the U.S. This is stupid.

He connected through Dulles, although that didn’t matter one bit.
They wouldn’t have detected anything at all.

It my understanding that it is not that they must go to one of these airports.....they are to be given a health /ebola screening at these airports .. that these are the five control point set up to give an examination.
Its a start..this is the minimum I was expecting from the start.. if you have done international travel this is common to have a health check control point for entry.
this it and ever so slight government pulling head out of ass
Its movement in the right direction

No, according to Jeh Johnson, they MUST go through one of these 5 airports, starting Wednesday.

Jeh Johnson, secretary of homeland security, announced that travelers from West Africa must arrive at one of the five airports starting Wednesday.
“We are working closely with the airlines to implement these restrictions with minimal travel disruption,” Johnson said. “If not already handled by the airlines, the few impacted travelers should contact the airlines for rebooking, as needed.”

How about someone who connects via Lagos and then via any one of 30 major European cities? I'd bet that there are at least 20 US airports that get at least one non-stop a day from Europe.
To: GIdget2004
The five airports are JFK, Newark, Dulles, Atlanta and O'Hare. What about Boston...Philly....Miami...Tampa...DFW...Charlotte....St Louis...Minneapolis....Denver...Seattle...SFO...LAX...?
To: GIdget2004
Thanks for sending them to Atlanta you pack of unprepossessing morons. Why not make them all sign in through our African embassy the WhiteHut?

“DHS says this move is to help prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the United States.”
Huh?
It would help ‘prevent the spread’ to keep the OUT altogether!
Duhhh!

So who does the screening or separating for screening? Is it the TSA?Yep...same TSA that confiscated my P-38 can opener on my dog tags because it was a "deadly edged weapon". Seriously. They took my can opener off my dogtags while I was in uniform. Damn near started a riot with patriots behind me belittling them.

The way I read the new rules, Duncan’s travel would have been considered to have originated in West Africa. So under the new rules, he would have been required to be screened at Dulles.
To: GIdget2004
This would not have caught someone going from w. Africa (ex: Liberia ) to Brussels, Brussels to the east coast, then east coast to Dallas.
Check the passports beforehand and if its from w. Africa, don’t issue em a visa.

Oh crap!!! Wonder, joy, and glory. O’Hare is the major hub airport I use for most of my domestic flying and I’ve used Atlanta for every one of my international flights, except ones going to Canada, where I’ve used O’Hare.
If that evil subhuman Obola can direct all of the plague flights to those five locations, he damn well can and should stop them. It just shows how much he utterly, bitterly hates America and Americans

Dallas County Health and Human Services is claiming they were not consulted about plane travel
"Shaun Rabb @shaunrabbfox4 2h2 hours ago Thompson says he and Dr. Perkins were never consulted about any sick person traveling. Re: Amber Vinson"
Meanwhile, Amber Vinson is claiming she did consult with them and asked for special arrangements. However she did not name names of those she talked to:
"During this conversation, Amber, unsettled by the news of Ms. Pham, asked if arrangements could be made for her to fly her back to Dallas on Sunday as a precaution. Amber was particularly concerned considering that Ms. Pham, being a capable nurse who followed the same Dallas county mandates, had become infected. Officials assured Amber that her concerns were unfounded because her temperatures were within the appropriate measures and asymptomatic in all other areas."
