Earth is on pace to tie or even break the mark for the hottest year on record, federal meteorologists say.
That's because global heat records have kept falling in 2014, with September the latest example.
"This is one of many indicators that climate change has not stopped and that it continues to be one of the most important issues facing humanity," said University of Illinois climate scientist Donald Wuebbles.

They tried to say South Carolina had a summer that was above average.
There was not one day this summer above 100, when growing up here there were multiple days above 100 throughout July and August.
I was perplexed by how they could say this. I dug a little deeper and they were talking about the low for the day being higher than normal.
Talk about making stats work for you.
This is the first time I can remember that the temperature in Washington, DC never got to 100 degrees or above at least once.
All that heat in middle earth must be pushing the cold to the poles where the ice caps are rapidly expanding and getting deeper.
And never mind record cold temperatures that offset record warm temperatures.

I know that the Great Lakes were about 91% frozen over this year which is close to a record.

I don’t have the data to see who’s lying and telling the truth, but my eyes and skin have told me this is a cold year.
In warmist logic that explains why the water temperature of the Great Lakes is currently 6 degrees lower than average for this time of the year. Satellite data which is apparently a little harder to manipulate... shows that there has been no statistically significant increase in global temperatures in over 18 years. NOAA’s reputation is being destroyed by this crap.

Right now every federal agency is a tentacle of the Democratic White House, solely focused on fundamentally changing America, just as promised. The end justifies the means as it can take generations to undo seconds of wrongful action, and they know that. They’ll take the hit anyways.
. Last winter was the snowiest — and one of the coldest — ever around the Great Lakes. It led to some of the widest-spread, longest-lasting Great Lakes ice cover ever — Lake Superior wasn’t ice-free until June. And that had ongoing effects throughout the summer and into fall.
Lakes Superior and Michigan are about 6 degrees colder this fall than they were last year. Lake Superior on Wednesday had surface temperatures of 46.6 degrees, down nearly 3 degrees from its long-term average. Lake Michigan was down a degree from its long-term average, at 56.8 degrees; Lake Huron is down almost 1.5 degrees from its average temperature of nearly 55 degrees for mid-October.
The record hottest year at least in the US is 1934. My mother often told of temperatures that summer being well above 120 with lows barely in the 90s. Someone also seems to forget the polar vortex at the beginning of the year.
Why would anyone, other than a bloodthirsty Leftist, believe the lies about the climate that the government puts out?!?!?!

Cooler summer than usual in the SE. July and August days saw a few highs in the 70s. Happened last summer, too, but I'd never seen it before that, in 20-odd years.
We here in the upper Midwest had a cooler than normal summer!

That's the truth of it. Even if the earth was in a natural warming cycle, the alarmists would blame mankind as the cause. All the scientific arguments in the world would not change their closed mindedness. Even with cooling being shown for the last 16-17 years is denied by them.
