I would imagine that lawsuits have already been filed against her, the government, the airline, the hospital, the CDC...

Didn’t Wesley and Vick both get convicted? This lawyer would be on the bottom of my to call list.

What is her cause of action?

Is it inadequate workplace safety procedures? The hospital will respond it did what the government’s CDC told it to.

Is it implied defamation of character? That’s a CDC suit, and the government has sovereign immunity.

The real remedy here is impeachment of Obama and a travel ban!

She might have a case. To me, this was clearly blame-shifting, on the part of the CDC and hospital officials, who failed to protect her, or to give her good advice.

The CDC as a whole is but aren’t individuals within the CDC libel?

Maybe, maybe not.

A “high-profile” attorney could be a $600-$750-$1000/hour thing. It’s not a casual undertaking to hire such a person, nor is such a person likely to take on a case where their fees will not be paid. So, without having the slightest idea of the details of this gal’s situation (and not especially caring, frankly) there has to be *some* sort of meeting of the minds. Not denying what you said, but it seems a tad early for lawsuits.

“You are under watch because you were in contact with ebola patient.”

“Do you think it is okay for me to fly to Ohio.”

“Your fired for being so stupid as to ask that question.”

This is a nurse that no doubt has an understanding of the restrictions placed on patient with certain strains of TB, some that are arrested if they go out in public. And she gets on a plane. Incredibly stupid.

I honestly don't see how hiring a "high profile attorney", one who is famous for representing Wesley Snipes is going to work in their favor convincing folks their daughter, Amber Vinson was "in no way careless' given:

Snipes and Vick were both convicted, yes (Vick pleaded guilty), but they were convicted of far less serious charges than they were originally charged with, and they got relatively light sentences, in light of their offenses.

Even the best lawyers aren’t miracle workers. When a defendant is as clearly guilty as Snipes and Vick were, a good lawyer’s job is to limit the damage, not necessarily get an acquittal.

I understand this. However Snipes is still in prison. Vicks is not playing sports any more, but he is out. Right?

The CDC and White House are squarely to blame for this woman getting on that flight. Besides that they are directly responsible for her even being exposed.

Why are there lawsuits being filed against a victim of government, yet not Thomas Duncan. Who knew beyond a shadow of a doubt he was likely infected by Ebola? Where is Thomas Duncans family at anyways? They were in headline news a week or so ago. Now not a peep. Not from Jackson or Sharpton either. Are they all feverish with achy joints, or what? Inquiring minds want to know.

i don't think the goal is a remedy. this is lawsuit lotto, nothing more. this family doesn't care one bit where the money comes from, as long as the lawyer can extract it. they could have at least waited to see if their daughter was going to survive or not, but these kind of people just don't think like the rest of us.

Oh, and i doubt that they contacted the lawyer. most likely, he contacted them. high profile or not, they are still ambulance chasers

There is not enough information on Amber Vinson for you to make a determination that she is a victim of the government and doesn’t need to be sued.

NY Times has reported that she asked for special travel plans from Ohio and was denied.

If she had told them the truth that she was running a fever, didn’t feel well, and had the beginning symptoms of Ebola..AND they didn’t provide her transportation..it was still on her to not be a Typhoid Amber. She could have checked herself in to an Ohio hospital.

CDC is not blameless in this mess.

Neither is Amber Vinson.

She was incredibly stupid to put her family at risk after treating a patient who died from Ebola KNOWING THAT THE SUITS WERE NOT ADEQUATE.

Was she taking fever reducers? Did she tell anyone that as decisions were being made?

Who really knows. But in the age of government, and stupidity. I can see someone like this woman doing exactly what the government told her to do. If she wouldn’t have done it without the go ahead, she is really just stupid and I don’t think she meant to harm anyone.

But this brings up a thought, so Thomas Duncan is the one that infected this American citizen. Would he have been tried if he hadn’t died? Why this woman? What about Duncans family, that knew just as well as he did where he had been, and likely been exposed to. Then they are all just as much to blame.

What happened to his “family” anyways? One day they were in staged photos out in public with Sharpton or Jackson. Spouting their racism, yet they were ordered to stay quarantined by the city. So they get moved, hook up with the race baiters, who start to stir up the pot. But by the DAY AFTER the photo ops, there has not been one story about them, their health, whereabouts, or in fact anything since then. Also, what is going on with this “unknown patient?” that was released from Emory. Who was it, and why are they not speaking out?

Also, we now have democrats calling for travel bans. We have an Ebola Czar, and plans for a MILITARY team made up of 30 members specifically to respond to Ebola outbreaks in the states. Now you can call me paranoid all you want. But this close to mid terms a media blackout on everything caused by this administration does not surprise me in the least. However it makes me very worried.

I can see the writing on the wall. It says “Ebola is already here en masse, confirmation pending, expect news Nov. 5th 2014.”

The family is now claiming she asked for a private plane. She was told her fears were unfounded.

There is a lot of CYA going on right now on all sides.

She could have just gone to the Ohio hospital.

But yes, I doubt she intentionally tried to give Ebola to her family.

Now her family could pay a price for her bridezilla jaunt.

Yes, there is too much CYA going on about Ebola in the US right now to not worry me. Even democrats that have openly supported Obama are calling for travel bans. Which is highly worrisome, but it could just be rats jumping ship due to mid-terms within two weeks. But the past week has been almost a complete media blackout concerning Ebola and anything related to the problems caused by “democrats.”

I don’t believe Obama is a democrat, I don’t believe he is an American, I don’t believe he is here to help America in any way shape or form. I believe Obama and the people who helped get him there would be sworn enemies of western civilization if we knew the truth. They used democrats to spring him into power. No one can possibly be as stupid, and incompetent as Obama seems to be on a daily basis. Not to mention they have climbed to a few of the highest seats of power on Earth. Dangerous and evil. Willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their nefarious goals, even killing innocent Americans that most likely voted for them.

It is laughable that anyone could think Obama and his friends got there through what seems to be stupidity and incompetence of legendary levels. Every American has been deceived. The “incompetence and stupidity” are the front to cover a much more evil and dangerous reality. Make no mistake.
