Is Steve Forbes really buying into the idea of a Czar for anything? That hiring some guy and letting him have a staff, an expense account and some sort of rule-making power will do one whit of good for the Ebola problem? By the time this ‘czar’ picks out the drapery for his new office the crisis will be over.

It's because he knows the cabinet heads are certified imbeciles and only have the position to share in the political largess.
If you thought the Czar was appointed to control the outbreak and head off the pandemic, nothing could be further from the truth. He's there to "shape" the message so that no matter how many Americans end up dying, 0bama will not be held accountable.

The President wants to walk into a Ebola staff meeting where they’ve all rehearsed the topic of discussion, and go along with one single theme. It needs to have political objectives and be a simple media message. Klain delivers. The idea that the President is going to fix or solve anything? Well....it just isn’t going to happen.

The chief danger of having anyone in the non-Constitutionally authorized position of 'czar' of anything, is that once an agency is established to oversee the reaction, response, or elimination of anything, the agency will continue in perpetuity--a condition which virtually guarantees that whatever problem that spawned the agency will continue in perpetuity as well.
We need to quit fiddling with titles and get the disease eliminated on our shores and keep it that way.
