Three U.S. military transports dropped weapons and ammo yesterday by parachute to the Kurds. The Pentagon said the materiel it delivered was supplied by the Kurdish state rather than being drawn from U.S. stocks. This was, if true, a compromise intended to lessen the offense to Turkey.
