September brought more record heat globally, and meteorologists say Earth is now on pace to tie for the hottest year ever recorded.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced Monday that last month the globe averaged 60.3 degrees Fahrenheit. That was the hottest September in 135 years of record keeping. It was the fourth monthly record set this year, along with May, June and August.

Every successive month is the “hottest month on record”. This is getting tiresome. There hgas been NO warming since 1998, according to the best data.

You can check the same databases the climate scientists use at teh link. Takes a little practice to control but it’s worth the effort. You can check these silly stories against actual recorded data.

For all I know the Sahara might have been the hottest in years...I wouldn’t know.

First, does anybody believe that we could accurately measure the *global* average temperature 135 years ago? I don’t even believe we HAVE been measuring it for 135 years. Didn’t the University of East Anglia (IPCC source) throw out historical data because they “couldn’t store it all on their floppy disks” (something like that) - part of “climategate”? What was the increase? What is the margin of error in the measurement taking?
Also, it always seems like it is warming “elsewhere”. If you point out that this was a mild summer or cold winter (etc) you’re told that “your” weather experience is too limited and not representative as a whole. Fine, I get that but it seems like warming is always occurring “elsewhere” - to everyone.
In other news, records are being broken across the United States for earliest cold snaps and cold temps in general. Do they not understand that one hemisphere is generally warmer than the other due to the rotation of the Earth on it’s 15 degree-tilt axis?
Kids are being dumbed down to the point where they believe this malarkey.
Who cares, i’ve been told that weather isn’t climate. Look at it this way. If gold went up $2,000/oz. today and fell $2,100/oz. tomorrow, it would still be true to point out that gold prices in October were the highest on record.
Uh, its 23 1/2 degrees.
Yeah, they say world wide about the warming everywhere too, not just the mid west: unfortunately the IPCC data says there has been zero warming for EIGHTEEN years. ZERO. So I feel pretty good about what I’m saying, this is pure made up BS.
With their head up their ass, it must certainly feel warmer.
