And I will shake all nations,
And the desire of all nations shall come . . .
Haggai 2:7

Holy and Righteous God,
We bless You, Lord, at all times; may Your praise be continually in our mouths. Let us magnify You, Lord, and exalt Your Name together. And may we taste and see that You, Lord, are good. You redeem the souls of Your servants, and none who trust in You shall be desolate.
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. Blessing and honor, and glory, and power be unto Him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Holy God, the foundations of our country are shaking because we have turned our backs on You. Lord, help us to once again establish America upon the Rock of Jesus Christ. We cannot continue in this path of destruction, for we will surely be destroyed as a nation. Help us, Lord God, for the sake of Your remnant crying out to You. Restore us, Lord. Pull us back from the brink of disaster that looms over America. Though we do not deserve Your mercy, we ask You to save us.
Grant Your protection and blessings upon our troops, Father. They are young men and women who are endeavoring to defend us and those in other nations. Preserve them from all evil, Lord. Be their Keeper and the shade upon their right hand. Preserve their going out and their coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Lord, our forefathers prayed in troubled times. We need to be a country steeped in prayer for our nation, for You are our only hope. We humbly ask You for Your grace to see us through these dark days. Give each of us the boldness we need to stand up for what is right and just and true. Every believer has a call now to stand up. Help us to answer the call, Father. We thank You for Your mercy and for providing the strength we need to do what we cannot do of our own will and ability. We pray this earnest prayer in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Almighty and eternal God, Protect our military as they discharge their duties.
Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep them safe from all evil
and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home safely to the people
who love them and to the gratitude of the American people.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
O Lord, Please Guide Our Nation

We ask for forgiveness that for too long we have ignored those who have, like termites, undermined our foundations in liberty. Give us courage and clarity of purpose as we attempt to help others rediscover the ideas essential to liberty, as outlined in our Declaration of Independence.
Excerpted last paragraph of Thomas Jefferson's Second Inaugural:"I shall now enter on the duties to which my fellow-citizens have again called me, and shall proceed in the spirit of those principles which they have approved. I fear not that any motives of interest may lead me astray; I am sensible of no passion which could seduce me knowingly from the path of justice, but the weaknesses of human nature and the limits of my own understanding will produce errors of judgment sometimes injurious to your interests. I shall need, therefore, all the indulgence which I have heretofore experienced from my constituents; the want of it will certainly not lessen with increasing years. I shall need, too, the favor of that Being in whose hands we are, who led our fathers, as Israel of old, from their native land and planted them in a country flowing with all the necessaries and comforts of life; who has covered our infancy with His providence and our riper years with His wisdom and power, and to whose goodness I ask you to join in supplications with me that He will so enlighten the minds of your servants, guide their councils, and prosper their measures that whatsoever they do shall result in your good, and shall secure to you the peace, friendship, and approbation of all nations." - Thomas Jefferson, Second Inaugural
We might also note that earlier in the same Address, President Jefferson had observed:
"In matters of religion I have considered that its free exercise is placed by the Constitution independent of the powers of the General Government. I have therefore undertaken on no occasion to prescribe the religious exercises suited to it, but have left them, as the Constitution found them, under the direction and discipline of the church or state authorities acknowledged by the several religious societies." - Thomas Jefferson, Second Inaugural

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
