HEAR that rain on the roof last week? That’s nature telling us our politicians have been idiots. I’m talking about the politicians who let themselves be fooled into thinking it never would rain like this again.
I’m talking about politicians who listened to the likes of Tim Flannery, the 2007 Australian of the Year and then head of the Climate Commission.
From 2005 to 2008, Flannery, the global warming guru, made a string of outlandish claims like these:
“So even the rain that falls isn’t actually going to fill our dams and our river systems ...
“In Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, water supplies are so low they need desalinated water urgently, possibly in as little as 18 months ...
“There is a fair chance Perth will be the 21st century’s first ghost metropolis.”
The dams in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide we were told would be drained by global warming are instead at least 80 per cent full.
And in all of those cities, the desalination plants are mothballed or, in the case of Adelaide’s $2.2 billion plant, about to be.
But you’ll still pay.
New figures published in The Australian on Saturday show Victorian water users have so far paid more than $1 billion in charges for a plant that hasn’t produced water since it opened in 2012.
Sydneysiders pay $200 million a year for a plant that hasn’t produced water for two years.
The only effective plant is in Perth, which lacks natural dam sites — and rain.
Such colossal waste. Every drop on your roof should remind you of it.

That sign is so illustrative of the lack of critical thought processes in leftists.
No matter what the problem is, they don’t want to have to study it and come up with plausible solutions: they just want to ram more socialism down our throats. They don’t even have an explanation of how the socialism is supposed to fix the problem. They have utter faith that it will.
Climate change is a feature of the earth, and humans are unlikely to ever be able to control it. Yet imposing socialist dictatorships on every free person in the world is supposed to somehow stabilize the weather? Can anyone explain how socialism is supposed to affect the earth’s atmosphere in such a way that climate change stops? And since all life evolved in a situation of constant climate change, is stable climate something we really want?

Exactly. Socialist/Communist nations have been the worst polluters on earth while spreading misery “equally”.
And now they want to tax folks for whatever rain falls on their roofs and driveways. And don't even think, having paid the tax, that you can collect that rain in a pond or catchment without getting approval from the overlords.
The greens are all about the money.
Global warming is real.
Look what happened to Mars.
It used to be covered by water all over. Then, Martians became foolish and wasteful, and used so much fossil fuels, that the planet became warm, and all the water evaporated into space, and now, all that’s left is a cold, desolate planet. Martians had to leave, and took over Earth. And, now, it’s happening again, but, we don’t have a nearby neighboring planet to go to anymore, other than Venus, which is already suffering from huge global warming.

They blame every single change in weather on CO2 and blame climate change on every single unhappy event from Ebola to ISIS. (I am not kidding).
The Earth has been getting warmer or colder for 4,000,000,000 years. The only constant in Earths environment is change. It will continue to change till it’s consumed by the Sun.
Man has been on earth .00075% of Earth’s age or 300,000 years.
Earth will continue to change after man is long gone.
The universe is dynamic. Suns supernova, galaxys collide, planets are formed and lost in blackholes daily.
Man is merely a brief observer, not the cause.
Once a prophecy fails to materialize, the source is not credible.
Marxists get worked up over nothing (global warming hoax, nonevent white-on-black racism, ...)
Yet they have their heads in the sand over Ebola (an indiscriminate pathogen).
The necessary measures for snuffing out Ebola are inadmissible by their philosophy. We see this same phenom throughout all liberal-induced social problems. Devastation and abject failure does not enlighten them. There is only one solution to the problem. They are the problem.
