Also, women are no match, physically, for men and WE ALL know that.

I'd say that AK-47 she carries evens up the odds considerably.

Yes it sure would.

===========================================

Would YOU want to risk any of the women in your family to be at the mercy of ANY of those ISIS/ISIL men as a POW?

I remember reading of and hearing of the desperation of the Japanese when they were OBVIOUSLY losing the war in the Pacific. They sent their 18-year-old men on KAMIKAZI missions: GUARANTEED death, but an honorable death. It's impossible to fight that kind of ... dedication and desperation. The Japanese did that, EVEN THOUGH they knew that they were sending their YOUNG MEN to death for a LOSING CAUSE.
My mother was here on the West Coast and she was POSITIVE that California was the next target of the Japanese bombers...as were MOST folks here on the West Coast. We still have the huge, concrete bunkers, thankfully UNUSED, from those days. She was wrong, but she didn't know that for an agonizingly long time.

I THINK that the men of ISIS/ISIL have that kind of desperation and wouldn't hesitate a second to misuse captured ANY POWs, male or female.

Their OWN women fighting with them in the trenches, so to speak, would have be a distraction to them. How horrible for them to witness their own "sisters" being blown to bits in front of their eyes. They would, of course, be worried about protecting THEM first. MOST men in this world are brought up to be chivalrous, especially towards their own women.
How unspeakably heartbreaking for the parents and families of those young women.

Those young women DO have a choice to fight or not fight, but it seems to me that they MIGHT be more useful in some other NON-COMBAT parts of the war.
WOMEN have always fought for their country but their fighting can't be hand-to-hand with men. Their fighting can be JUST as deadly.

From Wikipedia
MATA HARI: Margaretha Geertruida "Margreet" Zelle MacLeod (7 August 1876 – 15 October 1917), better known by the stage name Mata Hari, was a member of the Frisian minority from the Netherlands, and was an exotic dancer and courtesan who was convicted of being a spy and executed by firing squad in France under charges of espionage for Germany during World War I.

Who knows how many lives HER spy-intel cost the Allies. SHE had as much guts as any male soldier. She just "fought" in a way that she COULD be most effective.

OOOooo, people HATE spies. Their deaths PROBABLY aren't ever simple, easy or quick.
