Mandatory education, and for the majority of students, that means public screwel. That usually has a photo ID too. That should cover the young voters.

I do like the Obamacare angle.

As for having to vote in order to have the right to complain, petition the government, etc., that's bogus. The government lords over everybody, not just the voters.

Require at registration a thumb (or finger) print.

Most are able to bring those to the polling place. :>)

Like the old joke of I will pay you the amount of distance between your gonads and your belly button.
Fine!. I left mine laying on the battlefield in Iwo Jima.

I thought for a while the PURPLE INK would be fine but I conjured up the image of marauding gangs with bottles of ink forcing what they considered the opposition to dip their fingers.

Put that print next to your name on the voting book, and you also have a way to detect double voting.

If, under current law, most folks need a permit to fully exercise their second amendment rights and have to spend nearly $100 to get that permit, why is it considered a burden to show your ID to vote?

Have you ever seen a news article about how hard it is to get an id to do all of those other things?

Me either.

Here’s the thing...you can’t function in life without an ID:

1. Get past TSA at the airport.
2. Get something notarized.
3. Conduct banking business.
4. Pick up any narcotic drug at the pharmacy.
5. Apply for food stamps.
6. Apply for Medicade.
7. Get a hunting or fishing license (virtually all fifty states require such).
8. Get married.
9. Drive a car, buy a car, register a car.
10. Buy booze, if you look less than twenty-one.
11. Buy smokes, if you look less than 18.
12. Buy a gun or ammo.
13. Some regional pet shelters won’t allow you to pick up a free dog without an ID.
14. Most hotels (especially in Vegas) desire an ID, especially if you use a credit card.
15. Want a cellphone these days? Maybe in 2002, it was all done easily without the ID...but not today.
16. Go and win any money at a casino (Jersey City or Vegas)....watch how quick they ask for the ID to hand you the big chunk of money. No ID? No money.
17. Want a “m” rated video game? Better show an ID.
18. Going to an “R” rated movie and you look twelve years old?
19. Want some of the better cold medicines that have special elements attached to them? Better have an ID.
20. Accepting registered mail?
21. Want a government job?
22. Want an annulment from that crazy guy you met on Friday night, married Saturday, and discovered his loser status on Sunday? County clerk expects a check for minimum of $100 and a picture ID, with paperwork.
23. Want a building permit at the county office? Better have an ID.

For all those naive people who think you can still walk around America without an ID, I would challenge each of them to survive for 365 days without an ID. Unless you intend to live under a bridge, never receive any government aid ever, and don’t smoke/drink....that’s about the only way to exhibit such stupidity.

I would task any judge to show me the method that you can survive in America today...2014....without an ID. It’s just not possible. I think it basically went away in the 1960s, and it’s not going to ever change.

Do these idiot judges know all this? If these so-called disadvantaged people need ID to get public assistance, why wouldn't they have ID to vote?
